Basic Tips On How To Compose A Sociology Research Paper Conclusion
Very often, when you read a paper, you are disappointed at the end. Why? Because the conclusion was not like you expected or, even worst, it was not there at all. Many students neglect the importance of this element and they think that it’s optional. Well, it’s not. It’s something that can impress or disappoint your teacher, so you have to write it carefully. If you need to compose a research paper for your sociology course and you don’t know how to end it, follow these basic tips:
- Make it clear. When you write down the conclusion you are not supposed to make the reader confused. If you write random sentences that are not related to the paper, they will think you did not bother enough. Even if you write only a few lines, make sure that you write them in a smart way. Don’t be ambiguous in any way.
Include your personal opinion. At the end of the research paper you can easily state your personal opinion. Of course, it should not be longer than a paragraph and it should be related to the rest of the content. Make sure that you don’t get too intense or too personal. You would not want to offend anyone and ruin all your hard work.
- Mention the arguments that made you reach to this conclusion. Use sentences as “considering this information” or “after I analyzed all the evidence” to introduce your statement in the text. If the conclusion is not based on the arguments that you presented, it is absolutely useless. In this case it has absolutely nothing to do in your paper because nobody will understand it.
- Don’t write too much. If you are too excited about this composition, you might be tempted to write down more than you should. While this can be beneficial from one point of view, your professor will be angry that you did not follow his requirements. If he told you to write ten pages, make sure you write only this.
- Proofread it. When you are happy that you finally finished your work, you will not have any desire to proofread it. You just want to see the job done! Well, this can turn into something negative. What if your professor will find several mistakes right at the end of the text?
